Sorry!!!

Garrett has not had much free time to post lately. Our schedule has been quite full (ugh!). We will be quite busy for the next two weeks so posts may be scattered. I apologize on his behalf and promise he will post again on Monday. He has his last wrestling tournament for the year tomorrow, so hopefully things can get close to normal (sure).

Wednesday's Verse

What I learned from Tuesday's Verse- He came onto his own people, the Jews. They did not believe that he was the Saviour they were promised. There were others who did believe, he took them into his family. All we have to do is believe that is is the savior and we can be part of his kingdom.

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

John 1:14

Tuesday's Verse

Sorry, Mom had a very busy day on Monday so I was unable to post.

What I learned from Friday's Verse- The true light is the Lord Jesus Christ. The world knows he is the light because nature shows it and the Bible says it. They just do not want to believe.

"He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 1:11-13

Friday's Verse

What I learned from Thursday's Verse- The man name John (the Baptist) ,who is Jesus' cousin. He told everyone that Jesus would come and save them. He would save them the darkness that was talked about tin the earlier verses. We as Christians have the same job, we are to spread the light to everyone as well. So they do not have to live in darkness but in light.

"That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not."

John 1:9-10

Thursday's Verse

What I learned from Wednesday's Verse - It tells us that Jesus is the light and he shines in the darkness. The darkness is sin in the world not like day and night. The world does not understand Jesus which means we need to be the light and shine in this dark world. To shine means we must a good testimony to those around us.

"There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light."

John 1:6-8

Wednesday's Verse

What I learned for Tuesday's verse- This verse tells me that the Word is Jesus who is a part of God. It has been that way since the beginning. Jesus is the creator of all things.

"In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."

John 1:4-5

Tuesday's Verse

What I learned for Monday's verse- I learned that I can always study and improve my knowledge of God. That God will bless if I do all my works according to him. I learned that bragging and babbling are bad and takes you away from God's blessings.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

John 1:1-3
